Without the compact and light weight nature of the Bluefin Housing there are some shots of whales that I have captured that I would never have acheived."

About Adam:
Born and educated in California, Ravetch received a bachelor's degree in zoology from San Diego State University, where he was certified as an underwater instructor and received the Our World Underwater Scholarship. Adam's background in Marine Biology, producing and cinematography has motivated him to bring the unforgettable details of the Arctic, its animals and its culture to the television screen. In addition to his 1997 PBS award-winning documentary on walruses, "Toothwalkers," Ravetch produced "Toothed Titans" for National Geographic Television. "Toothed Titans" won numerous awards including the Gold World Medal for Nature and Wildlife at the 2001 New York FestivalsAdam produced and filmed an episode, Arctic Oasis, for PBS's Emmy award winning Natural history series, The Living
Edens, a modern day version of Nanook of the North.

Ravetch continues to produce films for National Geographic Television's Ultimate Explorer, and most recently completed, Battle of the Arctic Giants and On Thin Ice. Both films contain a behind the scenes element that portray some of the adventures behind Adam's decade long work in the Northern ice, involving polar bears, walrus and Arctic whales, and has just been awarded Best Presenter Host Award at the Missolua International Wildlife Film Festival, 2005.
